An infant car seat is a special child seat designed for newborns and babies up to about 13 kg or 15 months (Group 0+). Isofix: What is it?
Isofix is an internationally standardized attachment system that connects infant car seats and child seats securely to the car without a seat belt. Instead of fastening the seat with the car’s belt, you simply click the infant seat onto a fixed Isofix base in the vehicle. This base is firmly connected to the car’s body with metal hooks, minimizing installation errors and improving stability in the event of an accident. Many hauck infant car seats are Isofix-compatible and available with matching bases. Some models also feature a support leg or top tether, which further increases safety. Combined with the i-Size standard, this provides maximum protection for your child. Whether in everyday life or on trips – with Isofix, you are always traveling safely.
